The Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) is united by our shared belief that every woman and girl deserves the freedom, security, and opportunity to thrive. Guided by our Better Future Agenda, the DWC champions policies that strengthen women’s economic security, health, and safety because when women succeed, our economy, families, and communities succeed. The DWC fights for lower costs, reproductive freedom, affordable and accessible health care, equal pay, paid leave, strong public education, affordable child care and long-term care, safer communities, justice for survivors, affordable housing, and democracy itself. 

The DWC advances this vision through bold, coordinated policy action in Congress and through storytelling that connects legislation to lived experience. The DWC endorses and elevates legislation that supports women and families, and holds roundtables, briefings, and hearings to bring women’s voices and lived experiences directly into policymaking. The DWC also believes in the power of the pen and a unified voice, leading letters and statements urging federal agencies, the White House, House leadership, and others to respect, defend, and advance women’s rights. Our Members serve as leaders on key House committees, caucuses, working groups, and task forces shaping bills, conducting oversight, and ensuring women’s perspectives are represented in every debate and in the halls of power. We work hand-in-hand with advocacy organizations, policy experts, and community leaders to turn ideas into impact. Together, we use every tool available to fight for a world that works for women and a Congress that delivers real, lasting change.
