Democratic Women’s Caucus Welcomes Rep. Erica Lee Carter; Reaches Historic Membership
The Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) welcomed Rep. Erica Lee Carter (TX-18) as the 95th Member of the DWC, setting a new record for Democratic women serving in the House of Representatives simultaneously. Rep. Lee Carter was elected to serve in the seat occupied by her mother, the Late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18).
Democratic Women’s Caucus Chair Lois Frankel (FL-22) released the following statement on the historic news:
