WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Wednesday, July 31, Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) members, led by Rep. Judy Chu (CA-28), hosted Jennifer Klein, Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Gender Policy Council, for a discussion on the Biden-Harris Administration and the DWC’s work to advance gender equity.

DWC members received updates on implementation of the National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality, including recent progress the administration has made on preventing image-based sexual abuse, increasing access to reproductive health care, and promoting economic security for older women.

Klein also detailed other Administration actions focused on protecting and uplifting women and girls, including its adoption of a new rule to restore and strengthen protections under Title IX, and closing disparities in health research through the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research.

DWC members look forward to continuing to collaborate with the White House Gender Policy Council to advance opportunities for women and girls.
