Democratic Women’s Caucus Statement on Sen. Feinstein’s Passing

Washington D.C. – Today, Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) Chair Lois Frankel issued the following statement on the news that Senator Dianne Feinstein passed away at age 90.

“Senator Feinstein was a fearless trailblazer who broke through countless glass ceilings for women in politics. She was the first woman elected Mayor of San Francisco, the first woman to represent California in the Senate, and the first woman to Chair the powerful Senate Rules and Intelligence Committees. In every position she held, Senator Feinstein was a fierce champion for women and families.

“Our hearts go out to the many communities mourning her today—including her family, friends, staff, and her constituents.”
