Democratic Women’s Caucus Statement on President Biden’s Nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to Supreme Court

Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) Co-Chairs Congresswomen Brenda Lawrence (MI-14), Jackie Speier (CA-14), and Lois Frankel (FL-21), and Vice Chairs Congresswomen Veronica Escobar (TX-16) and Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) issued the following statement on President Joe Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve as a Supreme Court Justice.

“We commend President Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the highest court of the land,” said the Members. “Today, President Biden is nominating an exceptionally qualified judge with an unimpeachable character, who will also shatter another glass ceiling to make history as the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.”
