Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) Co-Chairs Congresswomen Jackie Speier (CA-14), Lois Frankel (FL-21), and Brenda Lawrence (MI-14), and Vice Chairs Congresswomen Veronica Escobar (TX-16) and Sylvia Garcia (TX-29) issued the following statement in celebration of Women’s History Month.
 
“Each March, we come together as a nation to honor the trailblazing women and girls who have fought for a better future for women everywhere,” said the Members. “From the first suffragists who waged a social justice war for women to have the sacred right to vote, to the women today battling for equal pay for equal work and for us to be treated with dignity and respect in all aspects of life, women have proven that when we succeed, America succeeds."
